The 2-family in Hudson County, NJ was an exercise in keep costs under control within a tight budget. We chose to invest in high impact high value updates using a combination of contractors and DIY projects to maximize our budget. This project taught us how careful planning can transform spaces without sacrificing quality.

- replaced entire knob and tube electrical system with modern and safe grid without damaging original features
- designed and gut renovated kitchen with new cabinets, granite countertops, farm sink, and stainless steel appliances
- Painted all walls and refurbished original tin ceilings
- Replaced backyard retaining wall, built new cedar fence, and added new gorgeous landscaping including large magnolia tree
