It looks easier than it is.
Over the course of the next several years, the towns along the New Jersey's "Gold Coast" — which include Jersey City, Hoboken, Weehawken, West New York and Edgewater — are expected to continue to ride a robust wave of housing demand that has been growing since 2010. These Hudson County towns, stretching across the waterfront running along the Hudson River opposite Manhattan, are in the midst of a building boom.
As prices in Manhattan and the outer boroughs climb, Gold Coast towns are increasingly shedding their second-fiddle status. It is precisely due to their proximity to Manhattan and strong transit links we believe New Jersey’s Gold Coast presents a unique opportunity to attract an endless supply of short-term housing demand from tourists, students, and business travelers, and priced out young professionals alike. Additionally, with stricter legislation passed in 2016 to regulate peer-to-peer online marketplaces in New York City (especially Manhattan) coupled with the looming shutdown of the L train into Brooklyn, we believe even greater housing demand will shift towards New Jersey; there is simple nowhere else to go in New York City.
This 1900+ sqft monster was an original 1980’s construction floor plan. Nothing was done to this incredible space for over 30 years. We spared no expense to transform this outdated apartment into an ultra modern, high end space with incredible unobstructed view of Manhattan skyline. This project allowed us to apply all of our learnings over the years into something truly breathtaking.
Upper unit of a 2500 square foot 2 family in Hudson County, NJ. The project marked a major move for us into New Jersey's Hudson County. We fell in love with 1914 original construction; with it's original tin ceilings and 2nd story deck with Manhattan views. The project taught us how to balance functionally and esthetically important features with high quality materials and a bit of elbow grease.
Lower unit of a 2500 square foot 2 family in Hudson County, NJ. This unit was an exercise in budget optimization. We refurbished this apartment unit for a minimal investment which included kitchen and bathroom updates. Updating on a budget!
Ignored Park Ave. studio stood on the market for over a year before the right person with the right vision came along. Reimagining this space took us on a 390 sqft journey into the compact. With an incredible view of the Chrysler building, this Murray Hill apartment tested our DIY skills.
An unwanted 500 sqft studio, re-listed over and over again over 9 months, made it the perfect project to sync out collective teeth into. The vision to reconfigure the unit's layout to maximize living space made this unit unrecognizable when completed. It only needed one or two less walls, a counter top or two, and imagination.
